  • Soil and groundwater research report IV : Sources and movement of chlorinated solvents in dual porosity rocks - Coventry groundwater investigation

The scientific objectives of the project described in this report were: (i) to develop techniques for investigating groundwater pollution by halogenated hydrocarbon solvents (HHSs) in dual porosity materials; (ii) to describe and model the regional distribution and movement of dissolved HHSs in the Coventry area; (iii) to improve understanding of the movement and retention of HHSs in soils and aquifer materials. The results and conclusions drawn from the study are presented, along with predictions for the future in relation to pollution, groundwater protection and remediation.
