Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

The development of the SPRINT programme on information and technology transfer reflects a concern within the Community that, although its fundamental research is considered to be of high quality, in relation to competitor regions Europe is less effective at applying new technologies. This report presents the findings of an independent review of SPRINT, undertaken by a panel of experts with a mandate to: (i) consider SPRINT's objectives; (ii) review the main action lines; (iii) assess the impact of the programme in relation to its cost; (iv) recommend possible modifications.
