Pollution free discretisation of Maxwell's equations in a 2D toroidal waveguide
A new code is under development to simulate the propagation of linear HF waves in a toroidal hot plasma. Using bicubic finite elements, Maxwell's equations are solved in a toroidal waveguide with an arbitrary cross-section. The eigenmode spectrum is shown to be pollution free and exhibits the expected convergence properties.
