New development in target preparation at CBNM : Laser evaporation-condensation and electrolysisFunded under: JRC-NUMEAS 4C
Preliminary laser evaporation-condensation experiments were performed to check the quantitative deposition of lithium fluoride and uranium oxide. The homogeneity of the deposits on stainless steel backings was investigated. The interaction of polyimide foils with the laser beam was also observed. Electrodeposition of uranium and plutonium on gold coated polyimide foils in aqueous and organic media was also investigated.
