Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

Industrial corporations are increasingly spreading their research and production activities worldwide, shifting away from their established industrial heartlands and opening up new overseas centres. The purpose of this book is to survey this process and its implications for corporate strategy and industrial change. By integrating theoretical perspectives with original case study research, the scale, nature and impact of the process are outlined, together with challenges and implications both for corporate management strategy and government and supranational industrial and innovation policy.
