Quality controls of surface and underground water
The quality of both surface and underground water is of particular relevance in densely populated areas. In Italy however there is a lack of precise terms of reference to indicate the objectives to be pursued in monitoring water resources, as well as a proliferation of diversified monitoring carried out for various different purposes, all of which leads to structural difficulties in comparing the data available. Rigorous planning is therefore needed in the use, protection and treatment of water resources. The report examines the current situation and suggests improvements aimed at overcoming the current difficulties.
