Abstract

The Van de Graaff laboratory of the IRMM (CBNM) runs a CN-3 MV accelerator dedicated to surface analysis studies and a CN-7 MV accelerator which is used for fast neutron cross-section measurements and charged particle induced activation analysis. The neutron cross-section work is relevant to the research programmes on fission physics and fusion physics. Some neutron cross-section measurements are dedicated to the determination of standards, of interest in both fields. Measurement techniques operational at the laboratory and relevant to the field of neutron cross-section measurements for fusion reactor research are discussed.
