Hydrogen isotopes transport in fusion reactor first wall materialsFunded under: JRC-FUSAFE 5C
The transport of hydrogen isotopes is presented in various metals and metal alloys used as first wall materials and in an ITER geometry. This analysis has been performed with a computer code which includes thermodiffusion with heat transport and hydrogen trapping, and can work with three hydrogen isotopes. The code calculates recycling from the inner surface of the first wall, inventory in the first wall and permeation through the first wall for hydrogen isotopes. The variation of these quantities as a function of time is discussed.
