The itinerant antiferromagnet of type 1 spin structure NpSn(3) (AuCu(3) structure) has previously been studied by 237Np Mössbauer spectroscopy at pressures up to 6.2 GPa. Surprisingly, the compound exhibits localised behaviour under pressure. Recently, additional members of the NpX(3) series (X = Al,Si,Ga,Ge,In) also crystallising in AuCu(3) structure, have been studied at ambient pressure. Among this group NpIn(3) and NpGa(3) are very interesting compounds. Preliminary results of recent Mössbauer high pressure experiments on NpIn(3) and NpGa(3) are presented. Emphasis is placed on the variation of the magnetic structure with increasing temperature at ambient pressure and with elevated pressure at 4.2 K. The change of the hyperfine parameters and of the ordering temperature with pressure are discussed and compared to the behaviour observed for NpSn(3).
