In 1992 the operation of the High Flux Reactor was carried out as planned. Availability was more than 100 % of scheduled operating time. The average utilisation of the reactor was 63 % of the practical limit. The reactor was used for research programmes in support of nuclear fission reactors and thermonuclear fusion, fundamental research with neutrons, radioisotope production, BNCT, and various smaller activities. General activities in support of running irradiation programmes progressed in the normal way. Full attention was given to quality assurance as a means of further developing safety culture.
