Self-consistent scalar relativistic LMTO band structure calculations were performed with a view to understanding the ground state of YbSbPd and YbSbNi. Paramagnetic calculations for these compounds gave the density of the states at Fermi level to be 82.94 and 27.96 states/Ry cell respectively. They also gave enhancement factors of 16.7 and 30.1 for YbSbPd and YbSbNi. This paper presents the results of calculations of the band structure as well as the Stoner-I for these compounds.
