Working seminar of the ELWW in the field of molecular biology of the soft rot disease (Erwiniae)Funded under: FP1-BAP
The denomination of European Laboratories Without Walls (ELWW) refers to various projects of a strategic nature which are being carried out across national barriers by pooling complementary skills and strengths of different European laboratories. The research group working on the soft rot plant disease (Erwiniae) is a long established ELWW. The group is mainly concerned with the phytopathological issues of Erwiniae. The programme of this working seminar included sessions on: (i) Erwinia and potato; (ii) iron uptake - mutants in pathogenicity; (iii) pectin degradation; (iv) cellulose degradation; (v) secretion. This report presents abstracts of 21 papers presented at the meeting.
