Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

As plant diseases are a major threat to agricultural plant production, early and sensitive detection of pathogens may be of great importance. The aim of the COST 88 programme is to support the development of hybridoma and nucleic acid hybridisation techniques for the various plant pathogens. Workshops have been organised in this area and working groups, dealing with the detection and identification of viruses, bacteria and fungi, have been set up. This annual report contains an overview of the COST 88 activities in 1991 and lists addresses of management committee members, working group coordinators and the Secretariat in Brussels.
