Abstract

The objective of this project was to integrate into existing models of each country's energy system the associated emissions of acid pollutants (SO(2) and NO(x)), taking into account existing and future abatement technologies and environmental legislation. This has been achieved in the working tool EFOM-ENV, which not only generates detailed energy balances with the associated emissions of pollutants, but can also determine either the implementation cost of a specific policy or the most cost-efficient method for its implementation.
