Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

The key aims of the project are to make available the experience and knowledge of the public administrations to the DRIVE programme, to introduce standards to improve cooperation between public administrations, and to reconcile DRIVE standards with RDB requirements in order to provide a robust bridge for the sharing of data. Overall aims of the project are to describe the wide range of existing bases, to establish an idealised data model, and to isolate the common elements which would contribute to the gateway for a sharing of data and for the future transference of data to RTI systems in DRIVE. The key achievement is the formulation of the road administration data exchange format proposal to access information held in public administration road data bases.
