Production of radionuclides at the JRC-Ispra cyclotronFunded under: JRC-ADVMAT 2C
Radionuclides are unstable because the neutron to proton ratio is either too high or too low. This article gives an overview of the radionuclides produced at the JRC Ispra cyclotron. The applications of these radionuclides are discussed, including nuclear medicine, tracer studies in environmental metallobiochemical research, and use as a gamma-source.
