The aim of this paper is to assess the use of Chelex 100 resin in the determination of trace metals. Its role in pre-separation and radiochemical separation neutron activation analysis (NAA) was investigated by analysing matrices such as mineral water, dialysis fluid, honey, human bone and urine, bronchoalveolar lavage, drugs and certified standard reference materials. Experimental procedures are outlined and results are presented.
