Abstract

MatLab (Matrix Laboratory) is a technical computing environment for high performance numeric computation and visualisation. MatLab integrates numerical analysis, matrix computation, signal processing and graphics in an easy to use environment where problems and solutions are expressed just as they are written mathematically, without traditional programming. In this technical note the MS-Window, MatLab version 4.0 has been used. The System Identification Toolbox (SIT) contains programs for building mathematical models of linear dynamical systems. Identification may be performed in discrete as well as in continuous time.
