Full scale pseudodynamic test on a four-storey reinforced concrete building designed in accordance with Eurocodes 2 and 8Funded under: JRC-RELISTRU C
This research is the continuation of a previous study on the seismic design of reinforced concrete structures according to Eurocode 8. During the first phase the applicability of the code to real structures was checked so as to compare the computer codes used in seismic analysis in different countries. The purpose of the current phase is to define damage indicators and failure criteria. This is based on a testing activity which culminated in a full-scale pseudodynamic test on a four-storey reinforced concrete building. The design of the test structure and the results of the work performed so far are discussed.
