Control of gas desorption at high rock pressure and abatement of sudden mine gas outbursts
This research project comprises investigations into the following: (i) gas adsorption as a factor of mechanical pressure; (ii) the change in gas composition with increasing depth; (iii) coal permeability and the directional course of boreholes in strata; (iv) the time-dependent development and size of the gas desorption space and the degree of desorption; (v) the effectiveness of roof and floor exhaustion; (vi) the abatement of mine gas outbursts.
