This paper discusses the structure and low-temperature high-field magnetisation of a number of U(2)T(2)X compounds where T = Co, Rh, Ni, Pd, Ir, Pt and X = In, Sn. Structure parameters and magnetisation in quasistatic fields up to 40 T at 4.2 K are reported. Even the highest applied fields are not sufficient to achieve saturation of the magnetisation in any of these compounds, the majority of which are antiferromagnetic and some of which are Pauli paramagnets. The importance of 5f-ligand hybridisation to the magnetism in these compounds is discussed.
