Abstract

This report describes work undertaken into the hazards posed by the release of pressurised liquefied gas. The four main areas of the work are as follows: (i) conditions of a vessel up to failure of containment; (ii) conditions within a vessel following partial failure; (iii) characteristics of discharge following partial failure; (iv) characteristics of discharge following complete failure. Executive summaries for the individual projects are provided which give details of the work performed and conclusions drawn.
