Fission fragment mass and kinetic energy distributions for the reaction 237Np(n,f) have been measured from just below the fission threshold up to the threshold for second chance fission. Differences between fragment yield and total kinetic energies as a function of the incoming neutron energies have been evaluated in order to search for fluctuations of these quantities. The results have been interpreted in the framework of the Brosa-Großmann-Müller (BGM) model of multi-mode fission.
