Application of system identification for thermal characterisation of building components
This paper deals with research into standardised methodologies for the assessment of thermal parameters for different types of building components and in particular work taking place within the PASSYS project. Methods used in this project, which are based on a lumped parameter model and a continuous time model, are described. The application of identification methods on in-situ measurements is considered. A performance check which includes tests on noise, change of input signal by uncontrolled phenomena and non-linear parameter behaviour is presented. The application of several methods is discussed and problem areas such as the physical meaning of parameters are examined.
