Abstract

A recent theoretical model for sawtooth-induced redistribution of plasma ions in tokamak plasmas is used to predict the concomitant changes in the 2.5 MeV neutron emission from ohmically heated deuterium plasmas in JET. These are compared with recent experimental results for neutron emissivity. Results indicate that the theoretical predictions are consistent with experimental observations.
