Quantitative spectroscopy for fusion plasmasFunded under: FP3-FUSION 11C
This paper concerns quantitative spectroscopy and in particular the assessment of the fusion reaction between deuterons and tritons, i.e. the measurement of the plasma ion temperature and its radial profile. Results of CX ion temperatures at JET are presented and high plasma boundary ion temperatures are discussed. The role of temperature fluctuations is examined and anisotropic temperatures in neutral beam fuelled plasmas are described.
