Analysis of eta measurements for 235U in the thermal neutron energy region
Existing experimental data on eta values for 235U in the thermal and sub-thermal energy regions are reviewed. Special attention is given to the various systematic uncertainties. When combined with recent fission cross-section data, an R-matrix fit yields a good representation of the data in the energy region below about 0.2 eV. At higher energies problems remain which need further investigation.
