This article presents a complete mathematical model of pressure swing parametric pumping (PSPP) separation processes. The physical meaning of the assumption made in the description of adsorption and mass transfer between the gas stream and the solid phase is emphasised. Physical information is derived from adsorption and gas-chromatographic experiments.
