Interaction of coal and coke fines with binding agents related to their use
The flowing and compacting mechanisms of coal blends have been studied using the theories of soil mechanics. Laboratory scale experiments were then developed to measure the properties of coal blends. The results point to several industrial applications for the improvement of the homogeneity of bulk density in the case of gravity charging and for better control of the strength of the coal coke in stamp charging.
