Abstract

Equilibrium statistics of model Hamiltonians for 1D and 2D non-linear drift wave equations are considered. While 1D calculations of correlation functions lead to a Lorentz spectrum, the 2D Fourier transforms of expected 2D space correlation functions deliver k(-3) dependence at larger k and a maximum at k near to zero, in agreement with recent measurements on large tokamaks.
