Lessons learned from emergencies after accidents in Greece and Italy involving dangerous chemical substances
The report includes two separate studies on emergency planning and response provisions for accidents in Greece and Italy involving dangerous substances either in fixed installations subject to the requirements of the Seveso Directive, or during transportation of dangerous chemical substances. The first part of the studies is a comprehensive review of the framework for emergency planning and response. The second part focuses on relevant accidents. Fixed installations and transport accidents have been selected to extract lessons on emergency preparedness and response.
