RDH-system cold-blown discontinuous cooking
This project involves using the RDH (rapid displacement of heat) process to obtain Kraft-type paper pulp and aims to reduce energy consumption at the cooking plant, eliminate contaminating gases and increase quality. The installation was designed for 350 ton/day pulp production and is based on the concept of discharging digestors without opening them up to the atmosphere. The operation of the plant is described and results indicating the project's success, operating costs and future prospects are presented.
