Quicksar : A near field linear/inverse synthetic aperture radar processor
A radar image can be formed by coherently integrating the backscattered fields over the measured frequency band and azimuth scan. By applying Fourier transform (FT) techniques and computing a complex product in the Fourier domain, the target image can be reconstructed and the dominant scatterers in the scene identified. The formulation involved in the data, focusing in both linear and inverse SAR measurements, is presented and the numerical implementation is reported. An extended target has been measured and successfully imaged with both geometries.
