Quality promotion in EuropeFunded under: IS-SPRINT 1
This report discusses the concepts of quality and quality management, their relationship to innovation and competitiveness, and the role of public policy in promoting quality. The findings of individual national surveys conducted during the study are summarised and analysed, and quality promoting activities at national and regional levels in each of the countries are reviewed. The European Union's role in harmonising and standardising quality assurance between the member states is emphasised.
