Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

This report focuses on the science and technological performance of the twelve EU member countries over the last twelve to thirteen years using a wide spectrum of science and technology indicators. Indicators signal changes in progress. These changes must be captured and analysed in real time to yield maximum benefits. The data presented are structured in order to respond to major European policy questions. Comparative data are analysed on the resources and scientific and technological performance of the world's 50 most technically advanced nations. The report also inaugurates a new collection of Commission publications dealing with science and technology in general.
