The certification of the contents (mass fractions) of total and methyl mercury in two tuna fish materials : CRMs 463 and 464Funded under: FP3-MAT
This report describes the preparation of two tuna fish reference materials containing methyl mercury. The homogeneity and stability studies and the analytical work performed for the certification of the contents of total and methyl mercury are described. The report contains all the results and gives the methods used to certify the mass fractions of total mercury (2.85 micro-g/g in CRM 463 and 5.24 micro-g/g in CRM 464, on a mass of dry matter basis) and methyl mercury (3.04 micro-g/g in CRM 463 and 5.50 micro-g/g in CRM 464, as MeHg cations on a dry mass basis).
