In this paper, an adaptive constrained controller satisfying both input-amplitude and input-velocity constraints is presented. The controller was an extension of a constrained controller for known system parameters, and it can be considered as the deterministic version of a generalised minimum variance self-tuning controller. The controller design was based on an appropriate on-line choice of the quantities rho and Q(q(-1)). A linear time varying law which satisfied the imposed constraints was calculated and the performance of the controller was examined by means of computer simulations.
