Recent advances at the European Microwave Signature Laboratory
The European Microwave Signature Laboratory (EMSL) is mainly devoted to polarimetric radar measurements aimed to complement air- and space-borne remote sensing experiments by providing stable and reproducible evironmental conditions. The paper describes the main components of the laboratory and discusses the performance of the measurement system on the basis of the results of verification tests. A selection of the most significant outcomes of the experiments is presented.
