This paper deals with the use of the CONSEN code to describe the pressurisation transient in the cryostat, with reference to the ITER project. According to the present ITER design, the cryostat surrounds the magnets and separates them from the outer building. The reference accident analysed using the CONSEN code is the rupture of a He supply line following a LOCA inside the cryostat, leading to an overpressurisation of the cryostat itself.
