Abstract

This report describes the development of improved models for the global circulation of iodine-129 and carbon-14. It describes a review of the important processes and parameters, the implementation of existing global circulation models and a comparison between them. Finally, it describes the development of new models and gives results from these new models. This work was performed under contract to the European Commission in the programme on radioactive waste management and storage.
