Quality assurance for environmental analysis : Method evaluation within the Measurements and Testing programme (BCR)Funded under: FP3-MAT
This book focuses on technical aspects of quality assurance (QA) in environmental analysis. The techniques used in inorganic analysis, speciation and organic analysis are critically reviewed and existing tools for performance evaluation are described. Among the methods considered are the use of certified reference materials (CRMs), ICPMS and isotope dilution ICPMS for the determination of Pb and Hg, chromium determination by FAAS and ETAAS, HPLC-ID-ICPMS for lead and tin speciation, supercritical fluid extraction procedures for tin speciation, the validation of GC-MS for organotin compounds, and hydride generation using GC-AAS.
