Abstract

The JET in-vessel inspection system (IVIS) allows the monitoring of the plasma vacuum chamber, to ascertain damage suffered by first wall materials/components. Radiation resistance of IVIS components has been tested by a dedicated irradiation campaign where cameras, IVIS glasses, lamps, motors and cables have been subjected to loads comparable to JET loads. Indications on performance and recommendations about useful operating ranges of the materials are presented.
