Abstract

This paper presents the objectives of the Phebus-FP programme and the results of a test matrix set up to check the quality of reactor containment installation and measurements. The main purpose of the Phebus-FP programme is to obtain a global validation of the tools used to calculate the quantity and nature of fission products present in the containment following a severe accident with core meltdown. As well as the results of the test programme, a description is included of associated Phebus programmes which ensure the transposition of results to reactor conditions.
