This study aims for a better understanding of the underground water contamination in a fuel deposit, should such water accidently leach the fuel. The study is focused on UO(2) irradiated at high burn-up in a commercial pressurised water reactor. Within the frame of this work, questions arise about fission product inventory, fuel leaching, oxidation of irradiated fuel, and the effect of fuel stoichiometry on the leaching mechanism. The first part of the program can be solved by using software such as FUTURE, MITRA and SOLGASMIX-AUT. The second part needs a computer program called COCAINE which is in development.
