Temperature growth-up and mechanical loads on the ENEA facility
This paper describes the test of a 12 T coil made by a cable-in-conduit Nb(3)Sn conductor with the wind and react approach. The preliminary numerical analysis is performed using the MSC/EMAS code. The results concern the forces and the temperature growths for ohmic dissipation due to eddy currents on the metallic structures surrounding the coil.
