Calculations of ion/atom collision cross-sections for beam-driven diagnosticsFunded under: FP3-FUSION 11C
In this work calculations are performed on electron transfer and excitation in Be(4+)-H(1s) and in H(+)-H(n = 2) collisions. These were done within the semi-classical close-coupling description of atomic collisions in conjunction with atomic orbital basis sets. The main features of the calculations are given and also a list of the calculated cross-sections. These studies are in support of charge exchange and beam emission spectroscopy at JET.
