Abstract

This paper presents the results obtained for the irradiation creep behaviour of many different austenitic stainless steel alloys over the last ten years at the HFR Petten. The studies were performed mainly on 20 % cold-worked 316-type stainless steel materials. The results of the studies are divided into primary and secondary creep to characterise phenomena which are known from creep without irradiation. The irradiation creep rate was almost independent of the irradiation temperature and linearly dependent on the stress.
