Abstract

The machine proposed uses water current to produce electric power. This machine turns kinetic energy into electric power without any civil engineering work. As it is floating on the waterway, variations in the water level do not affect it. The machine exists in three different versions: rotor width = 1.5 m, 3 m or 4.5 m. The rotor diameter is always the same: 2.5 m. This is a viable solution for developing countries having an appropriate hydrographic network.
