Application of the isotope ratio mass spectrometry to analyze wines from different European countries
This paper describes 13C/12C analysis of ethanol and 18O/16O determination in water contained in wines from different European countries from the 1991 vintage. The countries were split into three groups according to their climatological and environmental conditions. Results in agreement with isotopic fractionation rules for the geographical origin and the environmental conditions of the samples were obtained.
