Pre-processing of data from in situ thermal measurements of building components
Fourier transform methods allow a comparison of theoretical and empirical transfer functions of multi-layer plane building structures. This paper presents an analysis of a transfer function in the case of a thick attic insulation. The empirical transfer function is used in an analysis of the data to study the noise content and for verification of assumptions underlying the subsequent analysis. This is discussed using a general time-series analysis tool applied to experimental data from the attic insulation.
